Ann Marie Daniels, 57, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cathedral Catholic Church, with the Rev. Paul Louis Arts officiating. The body was cremated and burial will be at a later date in Logan Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel is handling funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Daniels was born April 8, 1945, in Wilton, Wis. to John and Gertrude (Limp) Schroeder. The family moved to Sioux City when she was a young child. She attended Sioux City schools, graduating from East High School in 1963. She also attended Morningside College, graduating in 1997 with a BS degree in sociology.

She married Charles H. Daniels on April 24, 1969, in Dakota City, Neb. Mr. Daniels died in Sioux City in 1996. Mrs. Daniels was employed with the Department of Human Services for over 30 years beginning as a caseworker and currently a department manager.

Survivors include a son, Michael Daniels and his wife, Karla of Winnebago, Neb.; two daughters, Allison Daniels of Sioux City and Cortney Griffin and her husband, Kent of San Bernardino, Calif; seven grandchildren, Patricia, La Tausha, Averi and Chantal Daniels and Philip, Roger and Monique Griffin.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Karen Norris.

Jade Damme (Cooney)

Spent a lot of time with Ann during grade school.  Clearly remember where she lived and her family.  Best wishes, Ann.           Jade
